About TinyTool

TinyTool started with a simple frustration: why does finding a reliable, free calculator always involve navigating a maze of ads, paywalls, and broken tools? We decided to build the directory we wished existed — one where every tool actually works, the math is transparent, and you’re never asked to “upgrade to unlock.”

Every tool in our directory is manually reviewed before it’s listed. We check the formulas, test the edge cases, and verify it works without an account. If a tool breaks or goes behind a paywall, we remove it. No exceptions.

From statistical tests for graduate students to measurement conversions for home cooks — if there’s a number to compute, we want it to be free and accessible.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most calculator directories are automated scrapes — they list tools without checking if they work. TinyTool is manually curated. Every tool is tested before it’s listed, and we remove tools that break or go behind a paywall. We also show the formula behind each calculation so you can verify the math yourself.
No. Every tool on TinyTool works without an account. We don’t collect your email, we don’t ask for a signup, and we don’t track your calculations. What you calculate is your business.
We accept submissions from tool creators and users. To be considered, a tool must meet our inclusion criteria: (1) the core functionality must be free to use, (2) it must work without requiring an account or credit card, (3) the calculations must be based on verifiable, standard formulas, and (4) it cannot be a duplicate of an existing listed tool. Submit your tool via our contact page — we review every submission and typically respond within 5 business days.
We use standard, peer-reviewed formulas for every tool. For medical calculators, we note the specific model used (e.g., the Gail model for breast cancer risk). That said, these tools are for informational purposes — always consult a qualified professional for medical, legal, or financial decisions.
We add new tools on a rolling basis, typically 8–12 per month. We prioritize tools that fill a genuine gap — not variations of what’s already listed. We also conduct a quarterly audit of all listed tools to ensure they’re still functional and free.
